Facebook will now into SIM cards

Facebook has long been a service that has taken great care to be accessible via mobile phones, smartphones in particular, but as social networks fits into the third world, many users of smartphones and data plans more abandoned.

Soon, all GSM phones could have come built right in, thanks to a new SIM card from Gemalto, which provide functionality in text mode to get the phone wimpiest same function.

According to a Facebook spokesperson:

We worked closely with Gemalto on their Facebook for SIM product and believe it will be another easy and affordable way for people to stay connected through Facebook on the mobile phone of their choice. Facebook for SIM creatively combines technologies from some of our existing mobile solutions that especially are attractive for people with feature phones and have limited or no data plans with a mobile operator. Through the Facebook application on the SIM card people can: Update their status and view comments on it; write on their friends wall; receive notifications; find friends on their SIM phonebook.

Although many features of Facebook is a material for mobile phone users - for example, photos or videos have a dependent device that can capture or display - the bulk of the contents of Facebook is still in text mode. new Gemalto SIM card will allow any phone capable of displaying text - which is almost all of them - to enter the world of data and rich interaction hosted on Facebook servers. Those of us with the iPhone may scoff, but if you are an Indian or a South African old functionality Nokia and Facebook turn on the road and is literally as simple as connecting a new SIM card.
