PlayStation 4 in Progress

Sony held a conference for its investors and resolve thedifficult question of why these turbulent PSN hack, the costs of research anddevelopment have increased recently.

Masaru Kato, Chief Financial Officer and Executive VicePresident, Sony has answered the question. He said that while the PS3 has a lotof life left in it is already in progress "for the future from thebeginning." He also said that he cannot discuss, which means that you havenot even heard anyone mentioning a successor to the Sony PS3 in the nearfuture.

It confirmed that Sony is already working on the PlayStation4. It's good for their competitor in the console space is planned.

E3 next month, you can expect Nintendo to reveal Wii 2 Thereis also a rumor that Microsoft is planning to steal some thunder from Nintendoalso inform the next Xbox during the show. If this happens, you can expect toappear on both consoles this holiday season next year.

Regardless of what Microsoft is doing, the Wii 2 should bemore powerful than the PS3, that is, from 2013, Sony has sold a device that canbe disarmed. Advantage of Blu-ray is also lost as the Wii 2 is scheduled forBlu-ray.

With PS4 in development, Sony may opt for its launch windowcarefully. Normally, the company operates in a cycle of 10 years for eachconsole, which means the PS4 should not be expected before 2016. However, Sonymay have its hand forced if both Microsoft and Nintendo launch next year. Ifthey do, the PS3 is very old in 5 years.

KINECTS adapted to detect disorder symptoms in children

The motion controller KINECTS is no stranger to the medical procedures were reported in January that slowly unfolding in the operating room for surgical care. But now researchers at the University of Minnesota, Microsoft KINECTS sensors once more as a way to measure disorder symptoms in children.

The team, composed of a number of researchers from the Minnesota Medical Association, Science, Engineering and Education / School of Human Development, received an amount of $ 3,000,000 National Science Foundation grant to use in their research KINECTS. Were seeking to observe and analyze the behavior and movement abnormalities in children. These models could indicate possible behavior problems such as OCD, autism and attention deficit disorders.

Traditionally, these observations made by people via video recordings of patients. But one of the leading researchers in the project believe KINECTS based system could take the subjectivity of the process. This could result in significant savings of thousands of dollars compared to other diagnostic methods and conventional procedures. In some cases, the system KINECTS may eventually reduce costs up to $ 100,000 and also prevent the need to place sensors intrusive for the child.

Open-source PC operating systems and Microsoft KINECTS official SDK which was released earlier this month (spring for a non-commercial use) is to help researchers to adapt technology to their needs. But it will be another six months before their system is ready for testing.

PlayStation 2 mod creates new portable machine

The PlayStation 2 is a console gamers will never forget a few. Unlike clumsy start of the PS3, which was perfect monitoring of the PSOne and sold like hotcakes, and continued to sell millions, but was replaced.

But still I have my PS2 on television, some people decided to start experimenting with the hardware in place. One such person is a modder United Kingdom under the name of techknott who managed to convert a PS2 console PS2 in a handheld unit.

Drive is mounted on the back and the Dual Shock controller is installed in the headquarters and reorganized around the screen in the PSone console screen enhancement. This is a 5-inch TFT color LCD, which is not enough.

Although it is a bulky unit, I can still see it is okay to take while playing for relatively long periods. This is not the PSP, however, and can currently be played on the road because of the lack of a battery.

Techknott actually makes your handheld as a commission, but the person who did not respond to most. Your only alternative is to sell to the highest bidder through the forums ModRetro

Sony Is Working On Hack-proof PS3 With 300 GB Hard Drive

When pirates Chaos Congress last year announced the method by which they had found the master key for PlayStation 3, which was immediately obvious to most that the PlayStation 3 just irrevocably hijacked. The master key, after all, allows any piece of code to impersonate Sony officially sanctioned code. Worse, the key is encoded on each PlayStation 3, so that Sony can not be changed. This means that all existing PlayStation 3 can jailbreak forever.

Since the master key has been released by Sony have gone through a lot of trouble trying to pee out of the pool, as was known to sue the hackers who have found the master key. All aware of the security, however, knew that the only thing Sony could do was to issue the new system, which uses a new (and better hidden), a master key.

Now it seems that is exactly what Sony is doing. After some recent declines in prices around the PS3, an anonymous source close to Sony said now that the machine console is deep in plans to develop a new test PS3 hackers, probably with a new key.

According to the report, hack-proof SKU will be a PS3 Slim has a 300 GB hard drive. This hard drive is designed to be an incentive to upgrade when the new system will cost about $ 299 when it hits ... which is exactly the same price as the current model 160 GB

Sony's best hope against piracy at the moment is that people replace their PlayStation 3 ... a tactic adopted by Sony with their PSP hacker-friendly. I, however, is a bigger hard drive at the same price that many hackers now encourage their libraries full game for free.
